Hunter Lovins

Hunter is president and founder of Natural Capitalism Solutions, incorporated as a way to implement the ideas of sustainable development on a global scale. A member of the California Bar, she has co-authored dozens of papers and nine books, including the landmark work, Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution. Hunter has consulted for governments and the private sector, briefing senior management at Interface Inc., Bank of America, Allstate, Royal Dutch/Shell and many other companies, as well as the World Bank & International Monetary Fund. She holds a J.D. degree from Loyola University and several honorary doctorates. She was named one of four people from North America to serve as a delegate to the UN’s prep conference for Europe and North America for the World Summit on Sustainable Development. She is a commissioner in the State of the World Forum’s Commission on Globalization, co-chaired by Mikhail Gorbachev, Jane Goodall, George Soros and others. She also helped found, and is now the Sustainability Chair at Presidio School of Management, the first school to offer an accredited MBA in sustainable management. In 2000, she was named a Hero of the Planet by Time Magazine.

Dr. John Straube

Ph.D., P.Eng., is a principal of Building Science Corporation, Inc. and a professor of building science in the Civil Engineering Department and School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Dr. Straube has acted as an educator, researcher, consultant and expert witness on energy efficiency, durability and IAQ. His building science expertise relates to moisture and enclosure durability as well as energy-efficient buildings with robust designs. John's research often involves connecting field measurements and computer modeling. Current research interests include the optimal system design of buildings, sustainable buildings, hygrothermal modeling, and moisture problem avoidance. See buildingscience.com

Ric Rudman

Ric Rudman was a member of the founding management team of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in 1973. During his 33 year career with EPRI he held a variety of executive positions in strategic planning, member services, international programs and business operations. In 2006, Rudman retired as EPRI's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Rudman holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Nuclear Engineering from UCLA. He served as chair of the Council of Consortia (1996-1997), an organization of chief executives and senior officers from the nation's leading research & development and applied technology development consortia.
